THE WARHOL KENNEDY RESIDENCE

In Spring of ‘24 John-PAul and Lisa Baker were approached to raise the profile of a residence at Savoy House on The Strand that contained rare and unseen images of Andy Warhol by the late William John Kennedy. They rebranded THE PRIVATE RESIDENCE as THE WARHOL KENNEDY RESIDENCE – AN APPOINTMENT ONLY GALLERY DEDICATED TO ANDY WARHOL. It has SINCE GARNERED PRESS IN ES MAGAZINE, GRAYDON CARTER’S AIRMAIL, AND THE GUARDIAN, AMONG OTHERS.

ROBERT MONTGOMERY STUDIO

JOHN-PAUL IS RETAINED AS CREATIVE PRODUCER AND CONSULTANT BY THE BRITISH ARTIST ROBERT MONTGOMERY, CO-PRODUCING GLOBAL ACTIVATIONS AND EXHIBITIONS. THE MOST RECENT OF THESE IS THE SHOW IN MONS, BELGIUM 2024, IN WHICH SIX LIGHT POEM SCULPTURES WERE ERECTED ACROSS THE CITY, INCLUDING ONE PERMANENT PUBLIC SCULPTURE.


HOUSE COLLECTIVE

JOHN-PAUL CREATED THE CONTENT CHANNEL HOUSE COLLECTIVE JOURNAL FOR HOUSE COLLECTIVE, BRINGING TOGETHER MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTISTS TO DISCUSS ISSUES PERTINENT TO THE ZEITGEIST, INCLUDING CHARLOTTE ROSE, CARLO BRANDELLI, EMMA STERN, NATHANIEL MARY QUINN, AND MANY MORE… YOU CAN VISIT HOUSE COLLECTIVE JOURNAL HERE.


NeuMARK FAMILY TRUST & COLLECTION

Working alongside Lisa Baker PR, John-Paul is retained as consultant to dr Aaron roni Neumark, trustee and custodian of the extraordinary Neumark Family Trust & Collection – an intergenerational judaica and art collection founded in 19th century Prussian-Germany that contains over 5,000 rare works,


AMARTA MAGAZINE

Since 2022, JOHN-PAUL has been retained as contributing editor to the georgia-based amarta magazine, interviewing iconic figures in the fashion sphere, such as Sir Stephen Jones, Debra Shaw, david koma, and MANY MORE…


THE WHITELEY

John-Paul recently worked as sole editor on the vision book for the forthcoming redevelopment of the whiteley by Mark. Hired by noe & Associates, he interviewed all the leading figures in the regeneration project of the iconic queensway landmark, and produced all the creative copywriting in this key element of communications. MASLOW’s MORTIMER HOUSE

John-Paul Was Cultural Director of Maslow’s, Mortimer House for the first two years of its existence. He created the brand’s tone of voice, the content magazine Maslow’s Notebook, and its web component. he also takes care of creative ambassadorships and the cultural events for the global brand at the flagship members club and workspace in Fitzrovia, London. Working alongside Lisa Baker PR, John-Paul is retained as consultant to the commercial galleRist and art agent, varvara roza, who specialises in the promotion of contemporary art by established and emerging international artists, such as Winston Branch (OBE), AntHony Daley, Tom De Freston, Manolis Anastasakos, and more.


PERONI NASTRO AZZURRO

John-Paul Worked as creative director on social film assets for the La Passegiata campaign for peroni nastro azzurro and also on the ooh billboard campaign in france in 2020. he concepted, scripted and creatively directed five short films for the brand, featuring leading cultural creatives in rome discussing their inspiration.


AUTHOR MAGAZINE

John-Paul is Editor of the luxury fashion bi-annual AUTHOR, published by Thames & Hudson USA, and co-curates the content with the book’s Creative Director, Oona Chanel. He has produced features for the luxury hardback with the likes of Sir Stephen Jones, Michele Lamy, Jean De-Charles Castlebajac, Betony Vernon, Diane Pernet, Gareth Pugh, and more.


M&C SAATCHI

JOHN-PAUL WAS FORMERLY EDITORIAL DIRECTOR OF M&C SAATCHI WHERE HE WORKED ON THE STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TWO KEY EDITORIAL AND EXPERIENTIAL PROJECTS FOR PERONI NASTRO AZZURRO AND TOPMAN, CREATING THE HOUSE OF PERONI MAGAZINE ONLINE AND IN PRINT, AND IMPLEMENTING THE FIRST CONTENT MAGAZINE FOR A RETAIL STORE. IN THIS ROLE, HE LED A TEAM OF CREATIVES AND EDITORS TO PRODUCE ARTICLES, FILMS AND EXHIBITIONS.

As A songwriter John-Paul is signed to Schubert Music Publishing. In September 2023 JOHN-PAUL RELEASEd THE Second album AGE OF TREASON - A FIFTEEN-TRACK ALBUM OF SONGS. JOhn-paul is a contributing editor to reserved magazine in los angeles, producing cover features and consulting on editorial for the leading underground west coast fashion title.

RON SANTIAGO DE CUBA

JOhn-Paul Worked under the auspices of A+ Agency as Both Creative Consultant and director on the latest campaign for Ron Santiago de Cuba, alongside natasja fourie, producing the key film asset for the brand, which can be viewed here.


JOSPEHINE HART POETRY FOUNDATION

John-Paul worked closely with Lord Saatchi and The Josephine Hart Poetry Foundation as creative director on the poetry movement project, commissioning three animated shorts by artists that radically visualised the poems of TS Eliot, Sylvia Plath and Phillip Larkin. “The Poetry Movement seeks to bring poetry to a new generation, by asking innovators from different disciplines to reinterpret classic works” – NOWNESS.


ANOTHER MAGAZINE

John-Paul continues to contribute to AnOther as a writer and editor, interviewing iconic cultural figures, such as Nick Cave, Sylvie Guillem, Taryn Simon, Wim Wenders, Jan Svankmeyer, and many more. He also wrote the foreword to AnOther Art Book (Steidl), conducting the opening interview between Hans-Ulrich Obrist and Jefferson Hack. 


PORT MAGAZINE

john paul works as a contributing editor to port magazine, conducting interviews with artists, actors and musicians, such as Tahar Rahim, Gerald Scarfe, caleb Landr Jones, Carla Bruni, and more. Since September 2020 he has taken on the role of music editor.

AS EDITOR-IN-CHIEF AS THE FIRST MAGAZINE FOR HIGH STREET GIANT TOPMAN, JOHN-PAUL INJECTED A SUBVERSIVE STYLE CULTURE AESTHETIC INTO THE MAINSTREAM, INCLUDING THE LIKES OF THE CHAPMAN BROTHERS AND YOKO ONO IN HIS EDITORIAL.

DAZED& CONFUSED

John-Paul worked as Arts & Culture Editor when Dazed Digital launched, and secured interviews with the likes of Julian Opie, David Lynch, Ben Vautier, Antony Gormley, Michael Horovitz and many more. He also produced documentaries for the brand and regularly contributed print features to the magazine, which he also worked on as the sole Copy Editor.


ANGELBERT METOYER

JOHN-PAUL IS RETAINED AS CURATOR AND CONSULTANT FOR THE NEW ORLEANS-BORN ARTIST ANGELBERT METOYER. NOTABLY, JOHN-PAUL CO-CONCEIVED THE CONCEPT AT THE HEART OF THE ICON EXECUTION SERIES OF WORKS FIRST EXHIBITED AT CHICAGO’S GRN’NAMDI GALLERY. HE ALSO SECURES PRESS FOR THE ARTIST, AND HAS TRAVELLED WITH METOYER EXTENSIVELY.


LEADING CULTURE DESTINATIONS

John-Paul worked as Content Director of Leading Culture Destinations. He rebranded the website, hosted events, directed a number of filmed interviews, and created two magazines for the brand. He also co-curated the LCD Ambassador programme and LCD Awards with founder Florian Wupperfield. 


START JOURNAL

IN 2024 JOHN-PAUL WAS COMMISSIONED TO DESIGN AND EDIT FOUR ISSUES OF START JOURNAL FOR START ART FAIR, FOR WHICH HE INTERVIEWED ARTISTS AND SOURCED TALENT. In doing so, he elevated the aesthetic of the brand.


MAKING IT UP AS WE GO ALONG

John-Paul worked as associate editor on Making It Up As We Go Along, which documents the history and social impact of Dazed & Confused. He wrote the foreword to the book, and the ART and SOCIAL chapters of the book. He also interviewed figures such as Rankin, Nicola Formichetti, Jake & Dinos Chapman, Aimee Mullins, Barbara Kruger, and more for the Rizzoli.  publication.

THE ABSENT SENTINEL IS A SHORT STORY WRITTEN by john-paul IN RESPONSE TO THE BELOW IMAGE BY PHOTOGRAPHER IACOPO PASQUI. IT EXPLORES COMATOSE DREAMTIME AND WAS PENNED FOR THE 1000 WORDS PHOTO PROJECT WHICH INVITES WRITERS TO RESPOND TO IMAGES. THESE STORIES THEN TRAVEL THE COUNTRY BEING READ TO STROKE VICTIMS. WOODFALL FILMS

John-Paul Worked as creative director on a capsule line by paris-based fashion label each x other celebrating 60 years of the legendary production house woodfall films, commissioning the british artist robert montgomery to create a series of iconic t-shirts.


THE DAZED GALLERY

John-Paul programmed and curated over thirty exhibitions at the now decommissioned Dazed Gallery, showcasing everything from RCA undergraduates to award-winning artists in shows that veered from the political to the irreverent, with everything in-between. Highlights included No Human Way To Kill by Robert Priseman, the debut show of Matt Irwin, and the first ever public exhibtion of artwork by John Squire of The Stone Roses.

JOHN-PAUL CURATED THE DEBUT SOLO SHOW OF RENOWNED CONTEMPORARY ARTIST CHRIS MOON AT LONDONNEWCASTLE ART SPACE, and since then has been retained as a consultant by the aritst. HE has WORKED CLOSELY WITH chris moon on numerous shows and has helped him secure press throughout his career.

NORTHERN LIGHT

John-paul worked as Co-director and producer on the documentary northern lights which premiered on dazed, interviewing the creative community in iceland in response to the global economic crash in 2008. all of the interviews were conducted by john-paul and the film was co-directed and edited by michael oswald.
