LOST KINGDOM
Lost KIngdom is a 14-Page prose-Poem by John-Paul Published in EXIT Magazine in the usa in 2019. The project was a call-and-response to various images of A IMPOVERISHED and romanticised american wasteland by the photographer James Gooding. YOU CAN read the poem and vIEW THE ENTIRE PRoJECT HERE:
THE ABSENT SENTINEL
THe Absent Sentinel is a short story written in response to the below image by the photographer Iacopo Pasqui. It explores comatose dreamtime and was penned for the 1000 words photo project which invites writers to respond to images. THese stories then travel the country being read to stroke victims. He can remember labyrinthine corridors of light. He can remember the glittering broken mirror and the silver pool. He can remember the blue-eyed terrors at the edge of being. He can remember tiny new faces, rippling upon the face of silver water. But he can only ever remember such things for a very short time, before the emptiness, and the following, returns anew.
It is not for his mind to truly recall the journey, or for him to ever step into the silver water… He is simply the watcher on the mountain, forever waiting to catch passing souls in the electric rain, like so many tiny shards of glass.

John-Paul curated the debut solo show of renowned contemporary artist chris moon at londonnewcastle art space. he worked closely with the pr lisa baker and agent liam west in creating a platform that positioned moon as one of the key painters leading the new wave in british painting.
ROBERT MONTGOMERY: MALEVICH
John Paul wrote the academic essay xx to accompany the first london exhibition of paintings by acclaimed word artist and poet robert montgomery, published by the cob gallery.
THE AGE OF THE MARVELLOUS
John-Paul wrote the essay The Wonder Principle: Art, Evolution and the Unification of Knowledge in the 21st Century to accompany the debut exhibition by all visual arts. The book is available here:
JACK & ME
John-Paul co-curated the exhibition jack and me by artist chris moon at xx in mayfair. he also wrote the accompanying essay to the exhibtion and secured press for both the artist and the subject of the paintings, acclaimed director Jack London.
NO HUMAN WAY TO KILL
JOhn-Paul Exhibited the work of renowned artist robert priseman at The Dazed Gallery, programming a show of his series of paintings ‘No Human way to kill’ which explore the different forms of capital punishment employed in the us. he also interviewed the artist and wrote an essay included in the frontispiece of the brochure. The show garnered international press.

ANGELBERT METOYER:ICON EXECUTION
John-Paul Worked as curator for the New Orleans-Born artist Angelbert Metoyer, and co-conceived the concept at the heart of the Icon Execution Series of Works FIRST Exhibited at Chicago’s GRN’NAMDI Gallery. He also secured Press for the artist and travelled with Metoyer extensively across the mid-west in preparation for the show.
THE EXISTENTIAL BLUES SHOW
THe existential blues show is a radio show that john-paul presented on the london-based boogaloo radio. The show would explore all music that had its roots in the blues form and feature guest interviewees and performances by various poets, such as greta bellamacina and scarlett sabet.
